The Best 5 Makeup Primers that I can swear by

One of the goals of achieving a gorgeous makeup look is to keep it intact as long as we can! After years of struggle thanks to my Pro makeup classes, I discovered primers! I had no idea that the secret for a long-lasting makeup is to prep the skin with a primer! But keep in mind that it is very important to find the right primer for your skin type. See below my tips:

• Dry Skin: Choose a brightener/hydrating primer. You’ll be safe applying a primer with shimmer if you want to achieve a super glowy look, but this is just optional.
• Oily or Acne prone Skin: The best primers for oily skin, no matter the look you want to achieve are those with oil-free/oil-control/pore control/mattifying/skin equalizer. I highly recommend mineral primers for this skin types as well. Avoid at all costs using primers with shimmer on it. Trust me, you will still achieve the trendy glowy finish we all want.
• Combination: Always have two primers handy (for dry and oily skin) and apply to the corresponding areas accordingly.

This primer is primarily for dry skin. It is also a good option for more mature skins. The mint fragrance of this primer makes you feel so relaxed, like you’re at the spa!

2. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

This can be used for normal, combination and oily skin types. You literally feel your face as a canvas, so soft and flawless; it is actually my favorite primer.

3. Too Faced Primed Poreless

This can also be used for normal, combination and oily skin types. This primer does a great job with the pores and it doesn’t make your skin too dry.

4. Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer

This primer is primarily for oily skin types. If you are looking for a primer that balance all the oils of your skin and makes it a perfect mat, this is the primer for you!

5. Benefit Pore-fessional

This primer is hands-down the best with pore control. There is no way you can go wrong with this primer if you have combination, normal and oily skin. However, if you have dry skin, this may not be the best option because it dries your skin once it is applied.
